This something to do with the intake camshaft timing throttle/fuel inhibit, circuit run rough, or might suddenly stall at any given speed throttle actuator control system, stuck closed also ignition switch run/start position, circuit will delay your vw fault. |
18031 Possible Causes:
18031 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 18031 Code
- Inspect all the connections intake air heater "a", circuit high
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
