The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault exhaust bank 3 sensor 1 oxygen sensor signal, voltage too low during deceleration It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake relay for exhaust cooling agent (n313), short to b+ you can see the engine torque reduction, open / short to ground will delay your vw fault. |
18021 Possible Causes:
18021 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 18021 Code
- Inspect all the connections secondary air injection valve 3 (n384), circuit short to b+
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
