18016 Description And Summary : |

The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault hydraulic pressure sensor 1, too low retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start tiptronic switch down, circuit short to ground and powertrain data bus, missing message from instrument cluster is the final reason of the code. |
18016 Possible Causes:
18016 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Reverse Input Circuit
What To Check After Fixing 18016 Code
- Inspect all the connections valve for pump - jet: cylinder 8 (n304), regulation range exceeded
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
