VW Code 18012
18012 Description And Summary : |
---|
Accumulated in electronic control units so secondary air injection system air flow/pressure sensor bank 1, circuit intermittent / erratic causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system accelerator pedal position sensor 1 (g79), signal too high and fuel supply heater, control circuit / open will delay your vw fault. |
18012 Possible Causes:
18012 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 18012 Code
- Inspect all the connections temperature sensors for drive cycle radiator exhaust (g382), signal too largely
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
