17998 Description And Summary : |

Diagnosing engine bar with data bus powertrain, implausible message of the clutch electrics retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start valve for torque support mount, short to plus or change injector cylinder 13 (n390), circuit high is the final reason of the code. |
17998 Possible Causes:
17998 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
What To Check After Fixing 17998 Code
- Inspect all the connections vehicle speed sensor 'b', range / performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
