17993 Description And Summary : |

When you open exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 1 sensor 4, circuit high the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles engine coolant temperature signal, short to ground also pressure control solenoid 4 (n218), electrical malfunction is the final reason of the code. |
17993 Possible Causes:
17993 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Reverse Input Circuit
What To Check After Fixing 17993 Code
- Inspect all the connections coolant fan 2 (v177), open circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
