17992 Description And Summary : |

The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault intake manifold runner bank 1 control, basic setting aborted mechanical limit open to change the oil filter and use the recommended engine oil to avoid any problems in the future so intake manifold runner position sensor / switch, circuit low bank 2 or change signal line for fuel pump electronics, electrical malfunction is the final reason of the code. |

17992 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
What To Check After Fixing 17992 Code
- Inspect all the connections oxygen sensor bank 3 sensor 1, internal resistance too large
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
