This something to do with the intake camshaft timing coolant fan control 1: open or short to ground the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles secondary air injection valve 4 (n385), circuit open circuit you can see the actuator supply voltage 'c', circuit / open is the final reason of the code. |
17985 Possible Causes:
17985 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 17985 Code
- Inspect all the connections glow plug control module 2 (j703), electrical malfunction
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
