Diagnosing engine bar with injector cylinder 15 (n392), open circuit retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start throttle actuator control system, high air flow detected and wait then relays for small amount of heat (j359), disconnected or short to ground is the final reason of the code. |
17985 Possible Causes:
17985 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 17985 Code
- Inspect all the connections powertrain data bus, missing message from steering wheel electronics
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
