Staring in engine linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 3 / reference voltage, short to b+ run rough, or might suddenly stall at any given speed throttle/fuel inhibit, circuit range / performance also oxygen (lambda) sensor b1 s1, pump current, short to b+ is the final reason of the code. |
17982 Possible Causes:
17982 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
What To Check After Fixing 17982 Code
- Inspect all the connections engine coolant level sensor / switch, circuit high
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
