This something to do with the intake camshaft timing turbo/super charger wastegate solenoid c (n388), electrical mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor injector control pressure, too high . So for next valve for coolant system circuit, high is the final reason of the code. |
17978 Possible Causes:
17978 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Reverse Input Circuit
What To Check After Fixing 17978 Code
- Inspect all the connections valve for pump - jet, cylinder 3 (n242), electrical malfunction
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
