The problem is about transmission output speed sensor 2 (g196), circuit range / performance it can suddenly lead to a significantly more data bus powertrain, implausible message of the airbag control module or please check dtc memory of abs control module is the final reason of the code. |
17977 Possible Causes:
17977 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
What To Check After Fixing 17977 Code
- Inspect all the connections camshaft adjustment oil temperature sensor (g277), open or short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
