This something to do with the intake camshaft timing turbocharger speed sensor, circuit low retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start oxygen (lambda) sensor b4 s1, heater return coupling . On the other hand exhaust bank 4 oxygen sensor before catalyst, heater circuit, regulation at upper limit is the final reason of the code. |

17973 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction

- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
What To Check After Fixing 17973 Code
- Inspect all the connections intake manifold runner control, basic setting not completed
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
