The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault 'b' rocker arm actuator system, stuck on the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles relay for exhaust cooling agent (n313), short to ground also air leak between maf and throttle body is the final reason of the code. |

17972 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent

What To Check After Fixing 17972 Code
- Inspect all the connections turbocharger boost control position sensor 'b', circuit high
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
