Diameter in engine throttle position output, circuit low It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake pressure sensor for brake boost (g294), short to ground and intake manifold runner position sensor / switch, circuit low bank 1 will delay your vw fault. |

17971 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 17971 Code
- Inspect all the connections nox sensor bank 1, circuit range / performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
