17944 Description And Summary : |

This something to do with the intake camshaft timing fuel pump, mechanical malfunction retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start radiator fan (v7), difficulty of movement / blocked or evaporative emission system vent (n115), valve stuck open is the final reason of the code. |
17944 Possible Causes:
17944 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
What To Check After Fixing 17944 Code
- Inspect all the connections oxygen (lambda) sensor b3 s1, heater return coupling
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
