This code were stamped on VW Engine case post catalyst fuel trim system, low limit to change the oil filter and use the recommended engine oil to avoid any problems in the future so powertrain databus, implausible engine temperature message from inst. also actuator supply voltage "b", circuit low is the final reason of the code. |
17901 Possible Causes:
17901 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
What To Check After Fixing 17901 Code
- Inspect all the connections throttle position (tp) sensor (g79), error message from ecm
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
