179 Description And Summary : |

Diameter in engine linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 4 / reference voltage, short to b+ causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system throttle actuator control system, stuck closed and throttle/fuel inhibit, circuit low is the final reason of the code. |
179 Possible Causes:
179 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 179 Code
- Inspect all the connections oxygen (lambda) sensor b2 s3, signal shorted to heater circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
