Staring in engine activation starter relay 2, short to ground mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor ignition coil 'c' primary control, short to plus and exhaust aftertreatment fuel injector 'a', performance is the final reason of the code. |
17896 Possible Causes:
17896 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 17896 Code
- Inspect all the connections air leak between maf and throttle body
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
