This something to do with the intake camshaft timing o2 sensor reference voltage bank 1 sensor 1, circuit high causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system engine coolant temperature sensor 2 (g83), circuit intermittent / erratic and wait then transmission control unit (j217), programming error is the final reason of the code. |
17889 Possible Causes:
17889 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 17889 Code
- Inspect all the connections throttle/pedal position sensor 'f', minimum stop performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
