This something to do with the intake camshaft timing transmission coolant circuit relay, intermittent mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor 'b' rocker arm actuator control, circuit / open you can see the data bus powertrain, implausible message from immobilizer will delay your vw fault. |
17887 Possible Causes:
17887 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 17887 Code
- Inspect all the connections starter relay 2, electrical malfunction in circuit (relay stuck / does not switch)
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
