The problem is about pressure control solenoid 6 (n371) open / short to ground the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles electronic control module incorrect coding and wait then combustion detection during deceleration is the final reason of the code. |
17871 Possible Causes:
17871 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
