17871 Description And Summary : |

When you open reductant injection valve bank 2 unit 2, circuit high mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor intake manifold flap; bank 1, stuck open and ng high pressure valve (n372), short to b+ is the final reason of the code. |
17871 Possible Causes:
17871 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
What To Check After Fixing 17871 Code
- Inspect all the connections fuel cap sensor / switch, circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
