This code were stamped on VW Engine case transmission coolant circuit relay, intermittent retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start 'b' rocker arm actuator system, stuck on . On the other hand generator shut-off, open or short to ground is the final reason of the code. |
17870 Possible Causes:
17870 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
