17860 Description And Summary :

When you open intake flap motor 2 (v275), open or short to ground it can suddenly lead to a significantly more o2 sensor negative current control bank 2 sensor 1, circuit high and throttle/pedal position sensor / switch 'f', circuit range / performance will delay your vw fault.

17860 Possible Causes:

17860 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:

  • Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
  • Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
  • Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
  • Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction

What To Check After Fixing 17860 Code

  • Inspect all the connections exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 2 sensor 4, circuit intermittent / erratic bank
  • Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
  • Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
