The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault control unit programming, programming not finished mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor vacuum reservoir pressure sensor, circuit intermittent you can see the exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 2 sensor 5, circuit high will delay your vw fault. |
17858 Possible Causes:
17858 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Reverse Input Circuit
What To Check After Fixing 17858 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 2 sensor 5, circuit intermittent / erratic
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
