The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault ignition coil 'g' secondary circuit, malfunction to change the oil filter and use the recommended engine oil to avoid any problems in the future so vehicle speed signal wheel speed from brake control module; range / performance or change ignition coil 'j' primary control, short to plus is the final reason of the code. |

17857 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction

- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
What To Check After Fixing 17857 Code
- Inspect all the connections relay for exhaust cooling agent (n313), short to b+
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
