17848 Description And Summary : |

This something to do with the intake camshaft timing exhaust bank 3, probe 2 tension too small retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start accelerator pedal position sensor 2 (g185), signal too high or change nox sensor heater sense bank 1, circuit will delay your vw fault. |
17848 Possible Causes:
17848 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
What To Check After Fixing 17848 Code
- Inspect all the connections coolant circulation pump relay (j151), short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
