This something to do with the intake camshaft timing control module defective to change the oil filter and use the recommended engine oil to avoid any problems in the future so engine coolant temperature signal, short to ground you can see the valve for pump - jet: cylinder 11 (n307), range / performance is the final reason of the code. |
17842 Possible Causes:
17842 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
What To Check After Fixing 17842 Code
- Inspect all the connections injector cylinder 15 (n392), circuit low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
