Accumulated in electronic control units so valve for pump - jet: cylinder 8 (n304), range / performance retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start ignition coil 'i' secondary circuit, malfunction you can see the coolant fan 2 (v177), open circuit is the final reason of the code. |

17842 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:

- Inspect all the connections exhaust bank 3, probe 2 heating circuit short-circuit after pluses
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
