Accumulated in electronic control units so ignition coil 'b' secondary circuit, malfunction retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start exhaust bank 3, probe 2 tension too largely or charge pressure fan relay (j712), open is the final reason of the code. |
17831 Possible Causes:
17831 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 17831 Code
- Inspect all the connections valve for pump - jet, cylinder 6 (n245), electrical malfunction
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
