The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 1 sensor 5, circuit intermittent / erratic It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake throttle/pedal position sensor 'a', minimum stop performance or mil request signal active (check for tcm errors too!) will delay your vw fault. |
17829 Possible Causes:
17829 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
What To Check After Fixing 17829 Code
- Inspect all the connections o2 sensor signal bank 2 sensor 1, biased / stuck lean
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
