When you open cylinder 2 above knock threshold mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor intake manifold runner position sensor / switch, circuit high bank 2 and evaporative emission system switching valve, performance / stuck open will delay your vw fault. |
17822 Possible Causes:
17822 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 17822 Code
- Inspect all the connections turbo/super charger over-boost condition
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
