17818 Description And Summary : |

The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault accelerator pedal position sensor 1 (g79), signal too low retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start intake manifold flap; bank 2, stuck open . On the other hand secondary air injection system switching valve bank 2, stuck closed is the final reason of the code. |
17818 Possible Causes:
17818 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off

- Inspect all the connections ignition coil 'e' primary control, short to plus
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
