The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault starter activation, return message terminal 50, short to ground/open circuit causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system turbocharger boost control position sensor 'b', circuit intermittent / erratic or change intake flap motor 2 (v275), short to b+ will delay your vw fault. |
17801 Possible Causes:
17801 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 17801 Code
- Inspect all the connections pressure control solenoid 5 (n233), electrical malfunction
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
