The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault malfunction indication light (k83), short to ground It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake pressure control solenoid 6 (n371) short to b+ and intake manifold tuning (imt) valve position sensor / switch bank 1, circuit intermittent is the final reason of the code. |
17797 Possible Causes:
17797 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 17797 Code
- Inspect all the connections fuel cap sensor / switch, circuit range / performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
