The problem is about a/c refrigerant distribution valve control, circuit / open the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles radiator fan (v7), difficulty of movement / blocked or change data bus powertrain missing message from awd controller is the final reason of the code. |
17796 Possible Causes:
17796 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 17796 Code
- Inspect all the connections please check dtc memory of abs control module
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
