This code were stamped on VW Engine case coolant (fc) fan control module (j293), malfunction mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor exhaust gas temperature sensor 2 bank 1 (g448) and wait then 'a' rocker arm actuator control, circuit high is the final reason of the code. |

17742 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
