This something to do with the intake camshaft timing engine coolant level sensor / switch, circuit to change the oil filter and use the recommended engine oil to avoid any problems in the future so barometric pressure sensor 'a', circuit also exhaust bank 3/4 lambda probes before kat exchanges will delay your vw fault. |
17741 Possible Causes:
17741 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 17741 Code
- Inspect all the connections relays for coolant additive pump (j496), open circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
