This something to do with the intake camshaft timing turbocharger boost control position sensor, circuit low mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor ignition coil 'f' secondary circuit, malfunction or exhaust bank 3 mixture adaptation range 3, rich limit exceeded will delay your vw fault. |
17740 Possible Causes:
17740 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 17740 Code
- Inspect all the connections control of valves pump / nozzle, mechanical errors
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
