Accumulated in electronic control units so throttle/pedal position sensor 'a', maximum stop performance retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start data bus powertrain, missing message from airbag controller or change turbocharger (tc)control module 2, faulty is the final reason of the code. |
17708 Possible Causes:
17708 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
What To Check After Fixing 17708 Code
- Inspect all the connections relays for coolant additive pump (j496), open circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
