The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault accelerator position sensor (g79), signal too high mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor coolant fan 2 (v177), open circuit or fuel injection valve 3 (n368), open circuit is the final reason of the code. |
17704 Possible Causes:
17704 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
What To Check After Fixing 17704 Code
- Inspect all the connections powertrain data bus, missing message from steering angle sensor
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
