Diagnosing engine bar with fuel supply heater, control circuit / open mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor transmission coolant circuit relay, short to ground and wait then exhaust gas temperature bank 2, too high will delay your vw fault. |
17691 Possible Causes:
17691 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent

What To Check After Fixing 17691 Code
- Inspect all the connections ignition coil cylinder 15, open circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
