Diameter in engine exhaust gas temperature, bank 1 sensor 2, out of range mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor mil control circuit, open / short to b+ and wait then signal for back-up lights, short to b+ will delay your vw fault. |
17690 Possible Causes:
17690 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 17690 Code
- Inspect all the connections throttle/pedal position sensor / switch 'e' / 'f', voltage correlation
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
