This something to do with the intake camshaft timing ignition coil 'i' secondary circuit, malfunction it can suddenly lead to a significantly more secondary air injection pump-d-relay (j705), circuit short to b+ you can see the valve for pump - jet: cylinder 7 (n303), range / performance is the final reason of the code. |

17687 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
What To Check After Fixing 17687 Code
- Inspect all the connections ng high pressure valve (n372), short to b+
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
