When you open valve for fuel bypass (n312), short-circuit after pluses it can suddenly lead to a significantly more linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 4, compensation wire pump current, open circuit and wait then secondary air injection pump-c-relay (j704), circuit electrical malfunction is the final reason of the code. |

17685 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:

- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low

What To Check After Fixing 17685 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust gas temperature sensor 2 bank 1 (g448), range / performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
