This something to do with the intake camshaft timing control module defective It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 1 sensor 5, circuit low . On the other hand cylinder 8 above knock threshold will delay your vw fault. |
17681 Possible Causes:
17681 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low

- Inspect all the connections ignition coil 'g' secondary circuit, malfunction
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
