This code were stamped on VW Engine case direct ozone reduction catalyst deterioration sensor, circuit range / performance mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 4 / reference voltage, short to ground also exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 1 sensor 4, circuit intermittent / erratic is the final reason of the code. |
17680 Possible Causes:
17680 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 17680 Code
- Inspect all the connections please check dtc memory of steering wheel electronics
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
