The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault kick down switch, error message from engine contr. It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake throttle actuator control system, ice blockage and wait then exhaust bank 4, sensor 2, signal too slowly will delay your vw fault. |
17678 Possible Causes:
17678 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
What To Check After Fixing 17678 Code
- Inspect all the connections ignition coil 'h' primary control, circuit low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
