Staring in engine electronic control module incorrect coding retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start charge pressure fan relay (j712), short to ground+ also charge pressure fan relay (j712), short to b+ is the final reason of the code. |
17657 Possible Causes:
17657 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 17657 Code
- Inspect all the connections throttle position output, circuit / open
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
