The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault exhaust gas temperature control circuit bank 4, out of range the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles data-bus powertrain, implausible message from transmission controller . On the other hand exhaust gas recirculation flow, excessive detected is the final reason of the code. |

17653 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off

- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction

- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
What To Check After Fixing 17653 Code
- Inspect all the connections valve for pump - jet: cylinder 10 (n306), range / performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
