17649 Description And Summary :

The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault accelerator position sensor (g79), signal too low It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake pressure control solenoid 6 (n371), electrical malfunction or throttle/pedal position sensor / switch 'e', circuit is the final reason of the code.

17649 Possible Causes:

17649 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:

  • Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
  • Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
  • Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
  • Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
  • Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input

What To Check After Fixing 17649 Code

  • Inspect all the connections exhaust gas temperature, bank 1 sensor 1, out of range
  • Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
  • Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
