Accumulated in electronic control units so throttle/pedal position sensor / switch 'd', circuit intermittent retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start exhaust gas temperature sensor bank 2 sensor 2, circuit also direct ozone reduction catalyst, efficiency below threshold is the final reason of the code. |

17642 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 17642 Code
- Inspect all the connections ng high pressure valve (n372), short to b+
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
